Candidate Terms and Conditions

When registering with Contented Childcare the Candidate must read, understand and agree to the Terms and Conditions.

  1. These Terms & Conditions of Business represent a legally binding contract between Contented Childcare (Agency) and the Candidate. A Candidate refers to the nannies, mother’s helps, housekeepers, maternity nurse/nanny and babysitters registering with Contented Childcare. Completion of Contented Childcare’s registration form is deemed to be an acceptance of and agreement to these Terms and Conditions of Business.
  2. When the Candidate registers with Contented Childcare they accept that they have read and understood the Terms & Conditions.
  3. Contented Childcare operates as an introductory Agency only between the Clients and the Candidate.
  4. Contented Childcare accepts no liability for loss, damage, expense or compensation suffered or incurred of any nature by the Client or Candidate.
  5. Any information given that is false or misleading by the applicant in any way will have their application terminated immediately.
  6. All Candidates require the following in order to register with Contented Childcare:
    1. Up to date CV
    2. Qualifications/Certificates
    3. Passport and/or Visas
    4. CRB/DBS – Contented Childcare can help you with this
    5. Current First Aid Qualification
    6. Driving license paper & card
    7. Written references
    8. Contact details of previous positions
    9. Recent photo
  7. Candidates must provide Contented Childcare with at least 2 references
  8. The Candidate must consent to the Agency contacting previous employers and referees.
  9. Candidates accept for the Agency to forward their details to prospective employers and for this information to be retained in a secure place to future reference.
  10. It is the Candidate’s responsibility to keep their First Aid qualification and CRB/DBS up to date and are forbidden to commence a position through Contented Childcare without these in place.
  11. The Candidate’s CRB/DBS should be no older than one year.
  12. The Candidate is required to keep in touch with Contented Childcare if they cannot make an interview or have changed their mind about a position.
  13. The Candidate should never give out contact details in an interview.
  14. If offered a position the Candidate should inform Contented Childcare straight away.
  15. If Contented Childcare has already put the Candidate forward for a position they must not accept the same position through another Agency or Website such as Childcare.co.uk.
  16. The Candidate should inform the Agency immediately if they are not happy with their new position to see if any problems can be resolved.
  17. When registering, Candidates accept for Contented Childcare to contact them about suitable positions and should get in contact if they no longer require the service.
  18. Candidates must inform the Agency of any dates and times of interviews.
  19. If the Candidate wishes to cancel an interview they must inform the Agency immediately.
  20. The Candidate must inform Contented Childcare immediately if a Client contacts them directly to asking them to work for their family or a friend. If the Candidate fails to do so then all future applications with the agency and others will be terminated.
  21. Any client based information given to the Candidate must be kept strictly confidential.
  22. Candidates are liable for paying their own insurance, First Aid and CRB/DBS fees.
  23. If the Candidate is employed on a part time basis which then becomes full time, they should inform the Agency straight away.
  24. The Candidate is required to inform the Agency of any future bookings of Temporary Placements, until the Client has booked the Candidate 10 times this is then overseen.
  25. If the Candidates hours are extended they should inform Contented Childcare immediately.
  26. If a Client cancels a babysitting booking with a Candidate without giving 48 hours’ notice, Contented Childcare will endeavour to recover 3 hours pay, but this is not guaranteed.
  27. The Candidate is required to inform Contented Childcare of any future babysitting bookings made by the Client. Once the same Candidate has had 5 bookings from the same Client then this is overlooked.
  28. If the Agency discovers the Candidate has not kept to the Terms and Conditions, they are liable for it to be taken further. The Candidate risks being black listed and for no future applications with Contented Childcare. We also reserve the right to inform all other local agencies.
  29. Contented Childcare reserves the right to amend any part of the Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
